I was 4 years old when my parents found out I had Diabetes.
Spent two weeks in hospital to get it under control. My Dad spent most of the time with me and he had to learn to mix the insulins, give injections, take glucose reading and relearn how to adjust my diet. In school my Grandmother would visit each day to take glucose reading and give insulin injections until I was old enough to do them myself.
I have a hard time telling that I am getting low so family and friend support is very important to me.
I am 24 now and still dont realize I get low but with help I get by. Hope they find a cure soon or someway to prevent this deadly diease.
