I have had diabetes for over 20 years. I have struggled with my weight my entire life. In the beginning when I was diagnosed, I was only taking pill. I just needed to lose weight and exercise more.
Now at the age of 44 have lost weight. However I am insulin dependent. Have several medical issues including Angina, and had two toes amputated 2 years ago.
I now acknowledge and understand I have diabetes and it’s not the end of the world. But a lifestyle change all around is needed. I honestly admit… I struggle everyday… I will not stop pushing forward.
To all that may read this I say live and be well. You have diabetes it does not have you.
