When I was born Friday the 13th in 1983, the doctors told my parents that your son’s pancreas was not functioning correctly. The doctors proceeded to take 85% of my pancreas from me. As a child, my parents said that I was wild always everywhere to hyper.

Before I was diagnosed my symptoms were urinating, thirst, fatigue, sleep walking and black outs. When I went to the hospital the doctors did what they usually do running test when my test came back my blood sugar was 700 and a1 level was 9.0.

I have been living with diabetes for 14 years now. I use to be ashamed of having diabetes but as time lives on and I have gotten use to living with this disease it has become my life.
