The Smith and Nephew ALLEVYN Tracheostomy Wound Dressing combines the benefits of the triple-layered ALLEVYN design with a convenient "keyhole" aperture that allows it to fit easily around a tracheostomy tube, drain or stoma. A multi-layered structure provides impressive absorbency, helping to prevent maceration and reducing the number of wound dressing changes required. A non-adherent inner layer makes removal quick and easy and helps to minimize trauma to the patient’s skin. The breathable film on the outer surface prevents secretions from leaking out and external liquids from entering. The cushioned foam layer provides improved comfort during wound care, without shedding fibers like traditional gauze.
