This box contains five Omnipod 5 G6/G7 Pods. These Pods are part of the Omnipod 5 System. This is the G6/G7 version of the 5th generation Omnipod. For the system to operate, the person will need an Omnipod 5 G6/G7 PDM which is available in an Omnipod G6/G7 Starter Kit; additionally either a Dexcom G6 CGM or Dexcom G7 CGM is required.
The Omnipod® 5 System is the first tubeless automated insulin delivery system integrated with Dexcom G6/G7 CGM to manage blood sugar with no multiple daily injections, zero finger sticks, and fully controlled by compatible personal smartphone. Omnipod® 5 consists of the tubeless and waterproof pod.
The Omnipod® 5 app is loaded on a PDM and Dexcom G6/G7 CGM. The Pod is enhanced with OnTarget technology to continuously adjust insulin to a customizable glucose target to improve glucose control and simplify life with diabetes.
