The Medtronic Minimed Extended Infusion Set is designed with new materials to reduce burden and allow for longer wear. Its design mitigates the loss of preservative and insulin aggregation, preventing local inflammation and allowing a longer wear of the infusion set.

If you’re using a MiniMed 770G, 670G, or 630G insulin pump, you can order and use the Medtronic Extended infusion set. Extended products are not compatible with MiniMed Paradigm systems. The standard reservoir is labeled for use up to 3 days and must be changed every 3 days. It is recommend using the Medtronic Extended infusion set and Extended reservoir together. The Extended reservoir is labeled for use up to 7 days and thus, only needs to be changed when insulin runs out or when the infusion set is changed.
