Cardinal Health Essentials™ Hydrocolloid dressing helps facilitate local wound healing. It absorbs wound exudate and creates a moist environment which supports the body's healing process and aids in the removal of nonviable tissue from the wound (autolytic debridement), without damaging new tissue. It consist of a wound contact layer of hydrocolloids. The top layer is a semi-permeable, polyurethane film backing, which allows for circulation of O2 , CO2 and water vapor, while excluding germs and water to protect the wound from external contamination.

• Propriety gelling formulation allows for most of the gel to be removed together with the dressing, resulting in little or no damage to the newly formed tissue.
• Flexible, low-friction film backing reduces skin friction with clothing and patient bedding.
