  • Diabetic Diets for Weight Control

I used the Jenny Craig weight loss program a few years back, and noticed that their program's caloric intake and suggested foods almost match those used for diabetics.

Is it dangerous for a non-diabetic to use a diabetic diet for weight control purposes?

    diets

The "diabetic diet" should be the way that everyone eats. It is moderate eating, mixing food groups, eating smaller and more frequent meals and reducing the amount of sweets and refined/processed foods.

Some of the diets like Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers may be OK for someone with diabetes as long as the carbs are moderate and distributed evenly throughout the day.
